FOUNDER: RIVER LENA
Born and raised in Michigan with a lifelong passion for music, River has always gravitated towards both sound and art. As the dedicated bassist for her band, Silence is the Scream, she experienced firsthand the often-frustrating challenges that emerging musicians face when trying to offer merchandise to their fans. The hurdles of upfront costs, minimum orders, and inventory risk became a clear pain point she was determined to solve.
Driven by this personal experience and her inherent desire to help others, River founded Deathmoth in 2025. Her vision was simple yet powerful: create a platform that empowers starting bands, artists, and creators to offer high-quality merchandise without any of the traditional headaches. Deathmoth allows them to unleash their brand, risk-free and on-demand, transforming creative ideas into pure profit.
Beyond the logistical solutions, Deathmoth also serves as an outlet for River’s own vibrant creative side. An avid artist who loves to draw, she personally channels her graphic design skills into helping clients bring their unique visions to life. River’s journey is a testament to turning personal challenges into innovative solutions, continuously finding ways to blend her love for music, art, and community support through the thriving spirit of Deathmoth.
